About Penny

Penny graduated from Barnfield College, Bedfordshire U.K. (1982) with distinctions in Hotel Management. She spent her early years as a chef gaining experience in a wide range of kitchens in the United Kingdom:

  • English tearooms in Jersey, the Channel Islands, dolloping clotted cream onto exquisitely prepared High Teas.
  • Upmarket ‘Nouvelle Cuisine’ Restaurant in the beautifully preserved Georgian Manor House near Reading.
  • Boutique English country hotel complete with lawn tennis courts near Totnes, Devon.
  • Oxfordshire 16th century countryside Inn at Faringdon specialising in traditional English cuisine.

Returning to homeland Africa in 1985 Penny created The Catering Lark catering service in Johannesburg (SA).  A portfolio of private and corporate events followed including:

  • Wanderers Cricket Stadium
  • Ellis Park Stadium
  • Loftus Stadium, Pretoria.

Penny and her husband immigrated with their children in 2003 to the beautiful city of Brisbane (Australia).  A deliriously happily married working Mum, she is currently based at the Northside Christian College campus as Catering and Events Manager.

Community, Church and Family Events

An increasing clientele in independent schools, Australian Catholic University, community and church events has developed over the last six years.

Penny is also well sought after for her styled weddings, significant birthdays and family occasions including christening parties and funerals.
